My name is Theresa. T for short. For as long as I can
remember I have loved making things, creating things and designing things. I always wanted whatever I created to help others, make people smile or simply lift their spirits.

In 2004 I stopped using hair relaxers on a dare from my sister. I learned how to style and care for my natural hair like most of us did back then- YouTube. I soon discovered my hair and skin loved shea butter. Then in 2009 I started whipping raw shea butter, essential oils and carrier oils. Something that could be used on my hair for two strand twists and my skin for moisture. That was how my Shea Soufflé was created. I would make small batches of 25 jars and sell them via word of mouth. People loved it. I was working full time and made it only when I needed it. My customers would wait for each new batch.

In 2019 I noticed there was a lot of hair in my brush, on the bathroom counters and floors. My hair was thinning. I very seldom flat ironed my hair.  Then I remembered something my dermatologist told me a few years prior when I started experiencing the worst acne in my life in my mid-forties. Hormonal acne.  Perimenopause. I was in perimenopause and thinning hair was one of the symptoms.

I immediately began researching natural ways to stop hair from shedding, to prevent hair thinning, to thicken the hair I had and any new growth that would come in. I discovered the Ayurvedic holistic method of hair care that originated in India. I started out making hair oil infused with herbs and sharing it with a select few. To stop my hair from shedding I made my liquid hair strengthener. I applied it to my scalp and my twists every other night. I oiled my scalp with the growth oil on alternate nights. My hair and the hair of those I shared my growth oil with flourished. That was how I created Healing for Hair and Skin by Theresa still while working a full time job.

My Healing for Hair line includes my Herbal Infused Hair Growth Oil, Herbal Infused Liquid Hair Strengthener and Methi Infused Mega Growth Shea Soufflé. My Healing for Skin line includes ONE product: My Original Shea Soufflé that can be used on hair and skin. I launched Healing for Hair and Skin by Theresa in October 2020.

In 2021, after being on lock down for two years and watching women flourish in small business, specifically my favorite Dallas, TX YouTuber share business tips and tricks with her followers, I was inspired to write a poem. The title: Sister You Hold the Key, Copyright 2021. The poem speaks of our origins, our faith, our strength, our perseverance, our goals, our accomplishments and our hearts. I wanted to create something for women to carry to remind them of the poem and what it says. Purse charms and keychains were where I started. I added journals and keepsake boxes. Then simple earrings and necklaces with just the cameo. My creative ideas came faster than my hands could create it took 3 years and I am still creating. February 2024 Sister You Hold the Key will officially launch. Yes. I still work a full time job.

These two business ideas God blessed me with are currently the two online stores on Teez Key Things. As God gives me more creations they will be added to my online marketplace.
